Catherine & Curtis - MARRIED

Catherine and Curtis were married on August 5, at the Publick House in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. The weather forecast was for rain and thunderstorms all day, but that definitely didn't put a damper on the fun these guys were having!

Catherine's mom and sister helped her get dressed so she could have a big reveal with her bridesmaids and brothers. There were some really neat moments during those two events. You'll have to check out their whole wedding to see those, though!

It was actually amazing to watch as the weather cooperated almost 100%. The rain stopped long enough for us to get some of the wedding party and family photos done before the ceremony, and it was also clear right after the ceremony. We did have a little downpour, but it didn't last very long and before dinner was served it was clear skies.

These guys have been together for almost 11 years. It's always so fun to see people who have known each other so long end up together. They just "fit" and are so great together!

As I mentioned, we had a little rain to deal with, so the ceremony was moved from its original location at the gazebo to Paige Hall. The staff at Publick House was so accommodating (as always) and so fantastic about getting everything moved and set up. They really do such a great job taking care of their brides!

One of my favorite parts of the wedding day are the few minutes before the bride walks down the aisle. There are always such sweet moments shared between the bride and whoever is walking her down the aisle. Catherine and her mom were so sweet to watch as they shared their last few moments before the ceremony.

And, the groom's first look at his bride is always fun, too!

Catherine and Curtis had a really sweet ceremony. They presented each of the mothers with a flower. Catherine to Curtis's mom and Curtis to Catherine's mom. It was a really special moment and a sweet symbol of the joining of the families.

Once the ceremony was over, we moved outside for some quick photos before the rain shower. We were able to finish the family and wedding party shots before the rain really started coming down. We finished that part of the photos with Catherine and Curtis on the front porch of the Chamberlain House. You can really see the rain coming down in quite a few of the photos.

On to the reception...

The reception entrances by the wedding party were pretty great. We had some "Tom Brady" action with a long pass of the bridesmaids bouquet and some other fun maneuvers, but Catherine's brother and one of the bridesmaids really stole the show with their entrance. It was the first time I've ever seen one like it, and, well, I'll just let the photo explain...

There were so many cool things incorporated into their wedding that really made it "theirs". I would have to say though, that the biggest and best was the cake cutting. Curtis owns his own landscaping business and it was completely fitting that they cut the cake in the most unique way I've ever seen...

Am I the only one who had never seen someone use a chainsaw to cut the wedding cake?!

The guests reactions were fabulous because out of nowhere the DJ says it's time for the cake cutting and all you could hear was the distinct sound of a chainsaw firing up. Check out some of their faces...

Curtis and his mom kicked off the  formal family dancing with a mother/son dance, followed by Catherine sharine a special dance with her brother, Dan. They were then joined by her other brother and sister for a surprise sibling dance just for their mom. She was definitely surprised!

We ended our time with Catherine and Curtis by doing a few more couple photos before sending them back in to dance the night away.

Congratulations guys!! I'd say this wedding was pretty epic!

And, as always, thanks to the rest of Catherine & Curtis's wedding day team. Without them what you've seen wouldn't have been possible!
