Katie & Paul - MARRIED!

Katie & Paul were married on September 10, at St. Paul's Parish in Hingham, MA. They had a beautiful ceremony followed by their reception at Nantasket Beach Resort in Hull, MA. These guys have known each other almost a lifetime already. When you've found "the one" it sometimes takes a while, but you know. So happy to see these two best friends get married!

And I have to note that this wedding was a big reunion for some of us vendors. Not only did I get to work with Matt from Fisher Video, who is my go-to when it comes to who to recommend for videography, we also saw one of our favorite DJs, Kibar, from Main Event Entertainment who was there as a wedding guest. (I even saw the wonderful Paul who led the team from Servepro who cleaned all the water out of my office after the Great Flood of 2015.)

But, enough of that... let's get back to the WEDDING!

Katie & Paul kept their colors and theme alive throughout their wedding day. I absolutely loved how they incorporated it start to finish! From the navy blue shirts and shoes, to the smallest detail at the reception.

Katie's sister helped her get into her dress and shortly after she shared a special moment with her dad when he saw her for the first time and she gave him a personalized hanky with a very special message on it.

Getting the ring bearers (does anyone else just always want to say "ring bear" #howimetyourmother) dressed was an impressive feat. Their bow ties came ready to tie. The only problem, no one knew how to tie a bow tie. (Mike, we could have used your expertise!)

All I can say is THANK GOODNESS FOR YOUTUBE! The ladies who made this all happen did a fabulous job. Regardless of anything else in their lives, they can certainly put this down as an accomplishment to be proud of! Way to go ladies!

Ladies, I'll just leave this right here... Katie shared a very special moment with her bridesmaids on the trolley before the wedding. I'll just say this-- she has the BEST.FRIENDS.EVER. ;o)

Katie's dad walked her down the aisle and her reaction and Paul's reaction to seeing each other for the first time was so beautiful! They were all smiles and happy tears and it was a sweet moment to watch.

While not every church allows photographers the freedom to move towards the front of the church, the ones that do certainly allow us a special glimpse into the moments most of the attendees don't get to see. We certainly stay as far out of the picture as possible when we are allowed near the front, and even from that distance we get to witness some of the sweetest moments between couples as they share little secret conversations with each other at the altar.

And who can resist the excitement of the moment when you're finally pronounced as HUSBAND and WIFE!

After the ceremony, the family and bridal party piled onto the trolley and made their way to the Paragon Carousel. (They have an amazing group of people who are working hard to raise funds to completely restore the carousel. If you love history, you should consider supporting them, or find another non-profit you could support in order to preserve places like this!)

We were able to spend a few minutes with Katie & Paul alone on the carousel, and then had the wedding party join in. The ladies running the carousel that day were fantastic and suggested that everyone grab a fun hat or other item to dress up in. Certainly made for some fantastic moments and lots of laughs!

I think the above photo on the right might be one of my favorites of the day. (Shout out to my assistant Emily for capturing such a beautiful moment!)

Check out the wedding party...

There was no lack of laughter and fun among this group!

Once the formalities were finished, we spent a little time with Katie and Paul on the beach and on the roof deck of the Nantasket Resort.

Now to share some of the details from the reception! Everything from the table numbers to the cake to the escort cards were right on theme. I absolutely LOVED that they used sand dollars as their escort cards. A neat keepsake and an incredible way to incorporate the theme!

Katie and Paul shared some special moments with each other during their first dance, and also with their parents during the parent dances. I always love those sweet moments where everyone else disappears and you see the couple lost in each other.

Now this might be my second favorite photo... When we were doing a few more photos during the reception I had Katie & Paul pose on the beautiful winding staircase. And apparently, I'm so stealthy that I scared Katie. She didn't know I had moved to this spot and her reaction was awesome. When you startle your bride, you know you've done a good job staying out of sight. Haha!

My last few favorites are below. Before the wedding, my assistant, Emily, and I walked around checking out different locations and options for photos. We walked down to the beach since we knew we'd be doing photos there later in the day. The beach was scattered with these beautiful purple seashells. Being a girl who grew up with the Gulf Coast as the nearest beach I had never seen shells like this! They were so beautiful! Between the purple tops and the pearlescent insides... so cool!

And the last two photos of the night. Katie and Paul enjoying a few quiet moments together before heading back into the reception to dance the night away!

What an absolutely beautiful day guys! Thanks for sharing it with me!

And, as always, thanks to the rest of Katie & Paul's wedding day team. Without them what you've seen wouldn't have been possible!
