Nicole & Jay - Part 2 - THE RECEPTION!

The Saturday after the ceremony, I met Nicole and Jay and their families at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge for a few more photos and the reception.

What a beautiful day they had! And, as you can see... the details! They had oragami on each table, orchids mixed in, and a huge display of photos of the two of them as well as family members. I had never seen a guest book quite like theirs either. They had a tree with leaves already on it for their guests to sign. And, I can't forget the favors they had for their guests were pieces of pottery made by a local artist. Such a thoughtful gift and one that supports someone local. You have to love that!

We took a few more formal portraits, and I got to spend a little more time with the brooch bouquets. :o)

Then, we went across the street during the most beautiful evening weather and were able to capture some photos with the Boston skyline as the backdrop. (We may or may not have had to dodge a lot of goose poop, but that just shows their commitment to having great photos. ;o) )

The Hyatt was also kind enough to allow us to use their elevators for a few shots. It was so much fun playing with all the lines and different angles. And it was pretty funny watching them go up and down as guests from other floors called for the elevators. At one point I think they ended up with an extra 7 or 8 people in the elevator with them.

Once we got to the reception, it was incredibly relaxed and so much fun watching them interact with their friends and families.

One of their friends is an incredibly talented artist who creates custom plushies. She did not miss a single detail. Right down to the tie on the groom plushie. You can visit her Facebook page and show her some love by clicking HERE.

During the toast, one of the traditions they incorporated was being showered with money. Once Nicole's Dad had given the toast, the guests threw coins over them. Apparently Jay hadn't been given the entire story, but was just told to "duck!".

Once the dancing began, there was no stopping the fun! It was an absolutely beautiful event and I'm so glad I got to share in it!

I also, can't forget to mention the Super Moon that rose into a cloudless sky right between the Hancock Tower and the Prudential Center. Seriously, could it have been any more perfect?

Congratulations Nicole & Jay! Looking forward to round three next month in Georgia!
